Celebrating Success at the Inspire Learning Awards 2016

Published 26th October 2016

On 30 June 2016, Inspire’s Community Learning and Skills Service (CLASS) celebrated the achievements of learners, tutors and providers at the Inspire Learning Awards. The event took place at Mansfield Central Library, where certificates and prizes were awarded in several categories including, for the first time, our younger Skills for Employment learners, who showed off their skills by catering for the event.  Entertainment was provided by one CLASS tutor, Pete Ward.

Highlights;

  • Inspirational stories from people who have overcome personal barriers to attend classes.
  • We heard from learners who have grown their personal confidence and others who have used their new skills to raise money for charity or start their own business.
  • Tutors and providers were recognised for their inspirational work and innovative delivery.

Pictured receiving their certificates from Ian Bond, CLASS Service Manager, are (above) Connor Hilton-Tremayne, one of our Inspire Learner of the Year Nominees and (below) Natalie Sharp & Tara Askham of Infused Learning, who received the Inspire Employability Award.
