InspiREAD 2021

We're delighted to announce the winners of the 2021 InspiREAD awards, as voted for by readers. Our librarians picked their favourite books for children and young people that have been published over the last year, and we asked you to vote for the very best in three different categories. 

As chosen by you, the winners are:

Picture Book Winner

Clem and Crab written and illustrated by Fiona Lumbers; published by Andersen Press.

Shorter Book Winner

Willow Wildthing and the Swamp Monster written by Gill Lewis and illustrated by Rebecca Bagley; published by Oxford University Press 

Longer Novel Winner

The StrangeWorlds Travel Agency written by L.D.Lapinski; published by Orion Children’s Books  

It was an amazing competition, and we received almost 300 entries. Don't forget, all the books shortlisted are available to borrow from our libraries, and from our Education Library Service for schools.
