The Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire and Inspire Youth Arts will host a spectacular evening of dance and music at Nottingham Playhouse on Monday 11 March from 6.30pm, sponsored chiefly by University of Nottingham.
The night will feature a diverse array of dance and musical performances showcasing young talent from across the city and county and will be compered by Kemet FM’s Jackie P. Audiences can enjoy classical Indian Kathak dance, street dance routines, contemporary pop tracks, and more. The evening begins with an outdoor pre-show by the NAAC Dhol Drumming group.
Performances include:
- Manushi classical Indian Kathak dance group
- Our Dementia Choir as seen on BBC One’s Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure
- Singer-songwriters Jude Kirk, DRING, and Jinda Biant
- A high-energy street dance showcase from JME Dance Company
- A unique dance performance by Jamal Sterrett
- Solo electronic artist Jess Fisher
- Sitar and Tabla Jugalbandi
“This concert will be a celebration of the Commonwealth’s contribution to the UK and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in the past, present and future. We will be celebrating the superb talent we have in Nottingham from around the Commonwealth as well as recognising the significant role they play in our City and County”.

Inspire Youth Arts aims to make performances as accessible and inclusive as possible. The evening will include a BSL interpreter for the main show.
