AIM Awards Level 1 and 2 in Carpentry and Joinery

Want to learn the skills and progress in the vocational areas of Carpentry and Joinery? Many learners have moved on from here to gain employment in the industry!

What will we cover?

You will gain the skills needed to be competent in the industry such as:

  • Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Knowledge of basic joinery proceses
  • Knowledge of fixings and materials 

Our programmes also give you the chance to develop communication with others, teamwork and confidence before you take that next step towards employment. 

Progression and Careers

You may wish to progress to Level 2 or 3 Carpentry and Joinery or another vocational course. You could do a Traineeship, Apprenticeship, Supported Internship or gain employment in the sector. 


This course takes place at our Sutton-in-Ashfield base, Eastbourne House, in our purpose-built workshop.
