We understand that studying towards a formal qualification isn't for everyone, and our Community and Family Learning courses are designed with this in mind.
These courses are for everyone aged 19+ and the great thing is, you don't need any prior skills or qualifications to sign up - PLUS the courses are FREE if you're in receipt of certain benefits.
Courses are conveniently located at many libraries and local venues across Nottinghamshire. You can improve or brush up your skills, learn about a new or existing interest, meet new people, simply get out of the house more or spend quality time with your friends and family.
We're now offering a range of FREE learning, volunteering opportunities, and accredited training as part of a new Nottinghamshire scheme called Miner2Major: The Real Sherwood Forest. If you're interested in practical skills to help restore, manage, understand and promote heritage within the historic Sherwood Forest landscape, you can find out more about the scheme and latest course details here.
Our Level 1 and 2 accredited courses are fully or part
funded depending on circumstances through the Adult Education Budget (AEB). These
courses are recognised by employers and are for anyone wanting to improve their
skills and employability.
Maybe you’re looking for fun ways to spend time together as a family? Our FREE family learning courses for mums, dads and grandparents let you learn with your children and share ideas with other parents.
