This is an introductory cell biology course which is designed to give learners a general understanding of the different types of cells within living organisms. The course deliberates on their specific structures and functions.
This short cell biology course will allow participants to learn about the initial discovery of cells in living things, prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, unicellular and multicellular organisms, and the comparisons made between plants and animal cells. Learners will also develop an understanding of structural specialisation, through which cell diversity allows for the multiplicity in tissues, organs and complex systems in multicellular organisms.
