What will be covered on the course? What will be taught to learners?
Learners will explore a range of craft techniques using different materials and tools. This will include basic wirework, paper cutting, artistic use of buttons to enhance an image or design, card craft, polymer clay, and origami. By the end of the course, learners will have engaged with a range of materials and have developed transferable skills which they can take forward with their crafting for other occasions.

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?
The course is suitable for complete beginners, no prior experience is needed.
Resources required:
Basic equipment every week: Pencil, pens including black felt tip, ruler 15cm minimum, scissors for paper, scissors for fabric, PVA glue, container to take completed or part-completed projects home in.
Week 1: Pipe cleaners, multi-coloured bells 15mm, ribbon – any colour to compliment bells.
Week 2: clean, empty, clear coloured jam jar, any size, black sugar paper or thin card (at least as wide as jam jar is tall), battery operated tealight.
Week 3: White box frame (any size), card at least the same size as the frame, selection of buttons – different sizes and colours.
Week 4: Plain white or brown card.
Week 5: Small selection of polymer clay, rolling pin, butter knife, ribbon in complimentary colour.
Week 6: Selection of card at least a4 size – can be coloured, plain, patterned, etc.
Suggested suppliers: The Works, Hobbycraft, The Range, Boyes, Ebay, Amazon, Local, independent haberdashery or craft shop.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
