About this course

Learn to use innovative painting exercises and unconventional tools to discover new possibilities for your landscape painting. This extended course ensures you stretch your techniques; experiment in your approach and discover a variety of methods and techniques to increase enjoyment of landscape painting in a semi-abstract style. This course is designed for experienced learners.

The emphasis of the course is to focus on editing, colour balance, tone and composition. Explore process: techniques of mark making in a variety of media, including acrylics and inks; composition; scale; working in restrictive, complementary and monochromatic colour palettes.

You will need:

40 x 50 cm Stretched canvas/ Canvas board, acrylic paper, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber, and Titanium and Zinc White acrylic paint, white acrylic gesso, palette, glycerin, spray bottle, a range of synthetic paint brushes, graphite pencils, metal palette knife, silicone spatula, photo reference

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
