This 6 week course aims to help adults gain confidence with a range of basic counselling (listening and responding) skills. You will receive a one and a half hour online ‘lesson’ with your tutor and other students once a week and then will be given short tasks to work on over the week and feedback to the group the following session.
This course is aimed at those working or hoping to work in a helping role and those that would like to improve professional and personal relationships.
We will look at body language and the listening environment and practice active listening skills and questioning techniques. We will also practice paraphrasing, reflection and summarizing.
