This 4 – week blended learning course is for those who have already attended the Beginners Creative Photography or for amateur photographers wishing to learn how to use the manual controls on their camera.
You will be able to demonstrate how to produce creative images using the camera manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, ISO and Manual) in conjunction with composition techniques and will appreciate how, by using visual literacy techniques, stories can be told through images.
Week 1 and 2 are online sessions; week 3 will be a field trip to Newstead Abbey with our highly experienced tutor and the final week will be classroom based, look at selecting and editing your best images with a view to submitting for a Miner2Major exhibition of learner’s work.
At the end of this course, learners will have:
The knowledge gained will enable you to join a camera club or photography association, or develop a portfolio to apply to FE colleges
Learners must bring a digital camera to use during the course that has : Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, ISO and Manual controls.

This is a blended learning course, with some online sessions. You will need a suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
