To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
- Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING
- Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Children still write Christmas lists – but what would you ask Santa for? More time with your family? To not mind when the glitter goes everywhere? This is a session of light-hearted creative writing, to focus on the Christmas you really want and deserve.
We will also be trying out some simple techniques for staying calm and de-stressing.
This course is for everyone who wants to come along. No creative writing experience is needed.
What will be covered on the course? What will be taught to learners?
- Breathing technique for calming and focus
- Visual techniques for finding calm
- Using writing prompts to kickstart creative writing
- Christmas and midwinter traditions in different times and cultures
- Writing a short haiku poem
- Setting intentions for Christmas in the form of a Christmas list
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
- You will know some simple techniques to slow down and start writing – or just to slow down!
- You will have written a poem in a haiku form
- You will have created a ‘Christmas list’ of intentions for yourself
- You will feel more confident with your creative writing skills
As this course is online learners will require access to a laptop, smart phone, computer or tablet. The course will be accessed through Zoom.
