This two-session course aims to open the door to writing your own poems. We will use a range of prompts, pictures and poems to get you started. So if you have always wanted to try writing poems but have been put off by thinking it’s too hard or that it always has to be about ‘big ideas’ come along and give Poetry for Beginners a try.

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software). You will also need, pencil and paper.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
