About this course

Do you create stories about people or animals you see in paintings and photos?

Or wonder about what’s going on just outside the image?

Or maybe you want to start writing, and need an image to get you inspired?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then this course is for you.

We will use a selection of images as the starting point for creative writing. Everyone is welcome to this course: whether you have some experience of creative writing, but also if you are a beginner.

We will use a variety of images as the starting point for creative writing: both photos and paintings. You can write in whatever form you feel comfortable with, whether that’s prose or poetry, as well as being encouraged to try new forms.

We will also read out and share work in the group. Over the course you will understand and practice how to give and receive constructive feedback on work.

You will need:

  • Pen/pencil and a notebook
