About this course

For learners to work towards creating a variety of crochet stitches with a crochet hook and yarn/wool and making different swatches to sew together or create bowls / boxes, scarves / bags, tops / dresses, cushion covers and throws, the list is endless! To understand the different terminologies used for English and American Crochet stitches and Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK.


What will be covered on the course?   

  • How to perform a variety of crochet stitches with a crochet hook and yarn/wool and making different swatches to sew together to create throws, cushion covers, hair bands, bowls / boxes, scarves / bags, tops / dresses, cushion covers and throws, the list is endless! To understand the different terminologies used for English and American Crochet stitches. Crochet Hook Sizes Conversion for Metric, US & UK. A History of crochet. 

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?  

  • By the end of the course learners will show secure knowledge of how to perform a variety of crochet stitches and have finished projects, such as bowls / boxes, scarves / bags, to tops / dresses, cushion covers  and throws, the list is endless! Understand the different terminologies used for English and American Crochet stitches and the Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK. 

As this is a follow on from the beginner’s class Learners must have some skills in performing crochet stitches, this is not a beginner’s course


What resources should learners bring?

  • A drink – water or juice, notebook and pen, a hook size 4/4.5/or 5 and yarn/wool

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
