On this course, we will look at how to do a variety of crochet stitches using a crochet hook and yarn, from creating Easter Eggs or knick-knack baskets, bunnies, chicks and flowers. By using an array of stitches, you can learn how to create different designs for different occasions – such as gifts for Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries. An understanding of the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches would be useful and Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK.
By the end of the course learners will show secure knowledge of how to perform a variety of stitches in different ways. Learners will create their own Easter Eggs or knick-knack baskets designs, as well as bunnies/chicks and flowers such as tulips and daffodils. An understanding of the different terminology used for English and American Crochet stitches and Crochet Hook Size Conversion for Metric, US & UK is required. This course is not suitable for absolute beginners to crochet.
Resources required by attendees
You will need to bring a crochet hook, size 4-4.5 or 5, different colours and types of yarn, a notebook and a pen.
