The aim of this course is to offer basic information and insights into what dyslexia is, how it impacts on people’s lives, learning and work (positively and negatively); human support, adaptations and technology which can assist people living with dyslexia
This is a short, introductory course for people with little or no knowledge of dyslexia or the support available. It is very suitable for parents of children with dyslexia seeking guidance on what dyslexia is, its impact, and sources of support, or for adults who think they might have dyslexia but need more knowledge and insight about it and about how to access assessment and support.
Note-taking materials -either pen and notepad, voice recorder (learners are very welcome to record oral teaching as a reasonable adjustment but will be asked not to record personal disclosures)
