About this course

This course aims to improve your English skills and your confidence in using these.

Our experienced staff will help you to improve your reading, writing and speaking and listening.

You will start by doing an initial assessment, in order to decide with your tutor which level you will be working at, from Entry level to Level 2. You will be assessed near the end of the course on these three elements and once you have successfully completed these you will achieve a City and Guilds Functional Skills English qualification.

This course runs for 19 weeks and the sessions will take place in the library but if COVID -19 restrictions change and we are unable to do this we will move some of the classes to online and you would need to have access to Zoom to be able to do this. We will keep you updated about any such changes during the course.

All resources that you need will be supplied by the tutor, but you may wish to have your own notebook to work in too.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
