To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).


This is a course for adults who would like to know more about Microsoft Excel.  On this course you will develop your confidence with using computers and learn how to create simple. working spreadsheets. 

On this course, you will learn:

  • How to create an Excel spreadsheet 
  • How to add data to the sheet and use Functions and Formulas to automatically perform calculations. 
  • Create charts from the data 

Learners will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with at least a microphone (headset or built-in). A webcam is preferable. The computer used for the coursework must be the same device running the Zoom meeting, as the tutor will use screen sharing to guide and assess learners. 

NB: Android and Apple smartphones and tablets are not suitable; mobile versions of Microsoft apps do not have all the required functions.  

The course materials have been designed around Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365, although earlier versions of Office should be fine.  

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
