Family Learning - Learning Together (Ages 5-11) - Beeston Library - Community Learning

About this course

Learn together in lively and fun workshops aimed at equipping parents/carers with the skills and confidence to develop their child’s physical, creative and technical competencies. Take away your learnings and introduce them to your home environment for yourself and your child to enjoy.

You will be accessing all three of these sessions as part of the workshop, and will be split into groups to rotate between all three 45min sessions 

Learn to Move 

• The session will provide: 
• Practical examples and training for developing physical skills with your child 
• Stimulus for adapting your home environment to promote the development of a child’s motor skills 

Animation 

• Using toys and tablets/smart phones and free software to create stop motion animation to create short animation stories that will be shared with the whole group at the end of the workshop  

Calm and Create with Colour 

• Explore how music stimulates different creative ideas and emotions using a variety of colour resources and tools (paint, textiles, crayons, ink etc) to look at how art can express emotions 

This workshop will enable parents to engage creatively with their children at home using free/low cost resources.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
