This course is for all those who have completed the Autumn 2020 Beginner’s Guitar Course (Monday or Saturday morning course) and would like to continue in their learning of the instrument.  


It may also be suitable for those who have some previous guitar playing experience (please see next section as a guide), and would like to progress further.


The course will be flexible around the experience and goals of the group, but as a guide it could include:  

  • Mini chords - G, C, Am, Em 
  • Full chords of G, C, Em, Am and D7 and Dm 
  • Note/melody playing, reading guitar tablature alongside traditional notation. 

To enrol on this course, you ideally should have completed Beginner Guitar Part 1 (Autumn 2020, Monday or Saturday group) or have some previous guitar playing experience

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).


To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.
