About this course

This practical course is suitable for those with some previous experience of guitar playing.  This course will expand upon and develop existing knowledge and add new chord and note playing skills through playing along to a range of online video mini songs and exercises.


This course is suitable for those with some previous experience, who have a knowledge of the basics of -


Names of the strings and how to play fretted notes / simple melodies

Some 6, 5 & 4 string chords in the open / first position - Eminor, E major, A Minor, C major, F major7

Playing to the beat / pulse and simple strumming patterns


Learners will have access, from home, to all the online resources used on the course, for practicing


You need a guitar (acoustic or electric) to participate in this course.  Instruments can be hired from Inspire for a small fee, please call 0115 977 3287 for more information.

  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
