To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
On this course, we will look at different genres of writing so that you can identify a genre that suits your writing style. We will experiment with narrative style, tense and voice (including diary and letter writing and developing your own).
Throughout the course, you will take part in written exercises, activities and discussions to improve your confidence in writing your own pieces of extended writing. You will be able to recognise when writing does (and doesn't) work and learn how to provide sensitive but constructive feedback to others in the group.
This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software). Please bring a pen and notepad. Handouts will be emailed to everyone before the session. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
