This qualification prepares learners for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child and young person development.
This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting. Learners can progress onto the Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges or the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Learners will require access to an electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smart phone and internet access to enable them to join classes on zoom.
Please note: Learners are required to attend Thursdays each week for the duration of the course.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

2) PAYMENT HELP AVAILABLE - if you earn more than £17,374.50 (£18,525 from 1st April 2022) (annual gross salary) but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.
3) CO-FUNDED - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
