This qualification is an introduction to the knowledge and understanding needed to work in a school or college environment. It can apply to the many varied roles that full and part-time support staff may fulfil including: administrative roles, site support roles, technical roles and volunteers, as well as roles that work directly with children and young people in the learning environment. To achieve the Award the learner must complete 6 mandatory units.
What related qualifications can you progress to?
Learners will require a laptop and access to the internet in order to participate in online sessions via zoom.
All learners are required to attend both Tuesdays and Thursdays each week for 11 weeks in order to complete the course.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
1) FREE - if you earn less than £17,374.50 annual gross salary or are on a means-tested benefit.
2) PAYMENT HELP AVAILABLE - if you earn more than £17,374.50 (annual gross salary) but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.
3) CO-FUNDED - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
