To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

In addition, we no longer receive funding for our accredited courses for learners living in devolved areas (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England) so full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas.

This qualification aims to:

  • raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties
  • dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues
  • develop learners’ knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues.

The qualification is appropriate for a wide range of people with an interest in raising their own understanding of mental health issues. It would complement study in a range of areas, e.g. citizenship, PSHE, healthcare, social care, counselling or public services.

It may also be particularly useful for those working within the voluntary and community sector and for others whose role calls for interaction with the general public in their day-to-day work.

As this course is online, access to a smartphone, laptop, tablet or computer is required.  The course will be accessed using Zoom.
