About this course

The course aims to highlight the value of this plant for its culinary use, identify sites where it grows in the locality and the collection of berries, with a view to propagating this plant for its introduction. This course involves travelling, via minibus, to local sites where this plant grows.


By the end of this course you will have an understanding of Bilberry and associated plant identification and distribution, plant uses, propagation and growing techniques, plant collection and the legalities associated with harvesting plants.


You will need clothes suitable for outdoors, including a waterproof  jacket and sturdy shoes / boots.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
