To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

This online course will introduce some of Nottinghamshire’s great writers, from the quirky to the quintessential. Learners will discover the county’s remarkable literary history and the impact its writers have had on the world. 

Hear some of the stories behind the radical writers and storytellers associated with Nottinghamshire and discover why Nottingham is a UNESCO City of Literature.

An informative course, each of the hour-long sessions will feature important writers and their association with Nottinghamshire. The course will cover how Notts has influenced these writers and how their writing influenced the world.  The course will feature writers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, scripts and more. 

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).  You will also require pen and paper.
