About this course

Learn how to edit and enhance photographs using a free software package (GIMP).  By the end of the course you will be able to use the tools and brush facilities to colour adjust, effect, filter, and layer your images.  This is a beginners course , but it is useful to have a basic knowledge of using a mouse and windows or Apple computer. 


What will be covered on the course?   

  • Attendees will learn how to use the free image editor GIMP to re-touch and enhance photographs 

What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

  • Learners will be able to use colour adjustments, effect and filters and layers to enhance their pictures. They will know how to use the selection tools and brushes. 

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course? 

  • Ability to use a windows or Apple computer. Effective mouse skills

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
