The poppy flower is an enduring symbol of remembrance and hope, particularly in recognition of the Armed Forces around the world. The Ancient Greeks associated poppies with abundance and fertility while modern symbolism is typically one of remembrance.
Over the three weeks we look at and create some Poppy theme crafts ; we look at needle felting, Stamping and Decoupage, and slow stitching. Also within the sessions we have time to talk at reflect what poppies mean to us and our communities.
