About this course

A friendly 6-week course designed to help ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) learners or anyone who wants to improve their reading, writing and speaking and listening by learning the word game Scrabble and meeting others and having fun.

Each week develop your spelling skills using activities and playing the word game scrabble and talking with each other to practice your spoken English.

Scrabble is a classic word game that can be played with 2-4 players.

This is fantastic way to learn how to play the game, so you can invite friends or family to play or set up your own club.

By the end of the course you will have:

Developed spelling skills and used a dictionary
Increased vocabulary by learning new words in English
Enjoyed conversations with other learners to improve speaking and listening skills
Used basic maths skills to score the game
Understand how to play the game Scrabble

Dictionaries and Scrabble boards will be provided.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
