To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).


On this course you will learn how to make a string bag using fabrics and materials that you have at home.  You will learn how to draft a simple pattern and then transfer that pattern into sewn string strap bag.

By the end of the course, you will have:

  • Successfully sewn a string strp bag
  • Have an awareness of upcycling and materials that you can re-purpose at home

You will need:

  • Paper for basic draft pattern, fabric of choice, elastic, pins, needle and thread, pencil, ruler, tape measure, scissors, note book

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
