About this course

The aim of the course is to improve the basic Spanish knowledge acquired in the first set of Spanish for Beginners' courses.  To have a wider understanding of the language and to be able to build more complex conversation in a variety of topics when on holiday or travelling in Spain.  We will cover a variety of topics from ordering food in a restaurant to conversing about the weather or hobbies with locals. 

You will need to have some basic knowledge of Spanish (greeting, meeting people, ordering food and drink and basic shopping), along with the ability to make small conversations using the appropriate vocabulary and grammar. 

By attending this course, you will be able to understand and converse in Spanish using the appropriate grammar and vocabulary about the following topics: 

- Relatives 

- Ser/tener 

- Travelling 

- About town 

- Directions/sightseeing 

- Booking a room and in the hotel 


You will need a notepad, pen and a Spanish dictionary to attend this course.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

  • Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.
