The line-up for TOLFest - the annual music, film, dance and drama extravaganza from Inspire’s County Youth Arts team has been announced with a dynamic and inspiring programme throughout June and into July across Nottinghamshire.
With this year being the twentieth anniversary of County Youth Arts and ten years at The Old Library, it is set to be the best yet!
TOLFest features events, workshops and energising performances for and from young people across the county of various abilities and experience, brought together to entertain, excite and inspire.
Highlights of this year’s festival includes BBC Music day, a live BBC Broadcast featuring County Youth Arts Able Orchestra, and BBC The Beat Gig Live with Dean Jackson. This event will be held in Mansfield Market Place in the Be Curious, Be Inspired giant purple inflatable venue! Featuring top CYA bands : One Giant Causeway, Forgotten Rockets & Call After Midnight, the gig and the venue is not to be missed.
Did you know? TOLFest’s name is taken from County Youths Arts home The Old Library. But with events across the county, and in a variety of settings, it’s another great example of the extensive work the team do with Nottinghamshire’s young people.
Saturday, 10 June Stage Combat Workshop, The Old Library, 2-4 pm - NotNow Collective offers a truly unique workshop aimed at parents and their children. Come and learn some stage combat moves. Whether you are into gladiators, knights or ninja, learn the moves and how to make it look dangerous whilst keeping you and your fighting partner safe. Suitable for the whole family, including grandma!

Friday, 16 June CYA presents BBC The Beat Live Gig with Dean Jackson in Sinfonia Viva Inflatable Indoor Stage, Mansfield Market Place, 7pm - Featuring top CYA bands : One Giant Causeway, Forgotten Rockets & Call After Midnight, hosted by BBC's Dean Jackson. The event is free however booking in advance is recommended.
Tuesday, 20 June Inspire Awards, Worksop Library, 7pm - Celebrating the achievements of Inspire members and staff over the last year. Invitation only.
June 19 - 25 Learning Disability Week - This year we are celebrating friendships and relationships. We have a number of open sessions for young people interested in joining our dance and performance companies.
Thursday, 22 June One Walk, Mansfield Town Hall 11am - Walk with us and show your support for the learning disability community of Mansfield. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday, 24 June Music For All - Learn to Play Day, The Old Library, 10am - 3pm - A chance to come to East Midlands Performing Arts Academy at The Old Library, meet their tutors, get information about the Academy and experience a free taster session on drums, guitar, bass, vocals, saxophone or piano. Also between 9.15 - 1pm we invite you to come along to The Old Library and have a look at CYA's Rock Schools for young people aged 7 - 19 years. Meet the tutors, staff and young people and see if you would like to join the groups.

The event is free however booking in advance is recommended.
Monday, 3 July East Midlands Performing Arts presents 'Rock the Night Away', 5pm - Celebrate the work of the EMPA students.
Wednesday, 5 July Tom Dale Company & CYA presents Urban Explorers, Nottingham Playhouse, 7.30pm - Navigating the urban landscape, expect free flowing visceral urban contemporary dance born out of the intensity of the urban music scene of grime, trap, dubstep and drum and bass. An exciting performance from Tom Dale Company with young dancers and musicians from CYA programmes from across Nottinghamshire, exploring the urban arts scene and its influences.
