Mischief Makers - Summer Reading Challenge Launch and Mask Making
We're always looking to improve your experience. Please send us your feedback.
Calling all eagle-eyed young readers! Sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge and put your skills and ingenuity to the test.
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge asks children, aged 4 – 11, to help the Animal Agents – a band of furry, slippery and feathered detectives – to solve a tricky mystery.
Children are challenged to read six library books, of their choice, over the summer. There are rewards for every book read including some very smelly stickers! The stickers also have the clues children need to crack the case. Every child who completes the challenge will receive a medal and certificate.
It’s easy to join in. Just ask in the library to sign up and pick up a free Animal Agents collector folder to get started.
Animal Agents is running in all Inspire libraries until Sunday 10 September. Find out more here
About the Summer Reading Challenge
Produced by The Reading Agency and run in libraries across the country the Summer Reading Challenge is a brilliant way to keep children reading throughout the summer break. Last year in Nottinghamshire over 10,600 children took part.
The challenge is not intended to be a test of reading ability but a chance for children to develop a love and enthusiasm for reading. Children make the decisions about the books they want to read. It could be a novel, fact book, joke book, e-book or audio book. As long as it's from the library all reading counts!
Simply turn up and take part. We look forward to seeing you!
