This exhibition marks the centenary of the end of the First World War and remembers the contribution of servicemen from Worksop and district.
photographs from the library’s Local Studies collection tell the stories of
local men who lost their lives during 1918 battles, and men awarded for bravery
– including Worksop Victoria Cross recipient, Sergeant William Henry Johnson VC. Documents and artefacts relating to Sergeant Johnson, kindly loaned by
Bassetlaw District Council, will also be on display.
