Exhibition: Voices - Arnold Library
We're always looking to improve your experience. Please send us your feedback.
|Venue||Mansfield Central Library|
Mansfield Central Library are delighted to be hosting a series of dementia friendly screenings of classic films and musicals.
Anything Goes - Bill Benson (Bing Crosby) and Ted Adams (Donald O'Connor) are to appear in a Broadway show together and, while in Paris, each 'discovers' the perfect leading lady for the plum female role. Both men promise the prize role to the girl they selected without informing the other until they head back across the Atlantic by liner - with each man having brought his choice along! It becomes a stormy crossing as they have to tell each lady that they might not get the role after all.
The screenings are particularly suitable for people living with dementia and memory challenges, their family and friends but anyone is welcome. Please feel free to talk, sing and move during the screening.
Doors will open 20 minutes before the screening and there will be a 20 minute interval. We will be sensitive to the audience when it comes to lighting and volume in the auditorium. A quiet room for anyone needing a brief break from the film will be available just outside the auditorium and toilets including an accessible toilet are also just outside the auditorium door.
The auditorium is on the second floor of the building with good lift access but the seating is stepped as shown in the picture and there are 3 wheelchair user tickets available.
If you have any additional requirements or questions before booking please contact email@example.com
Tickets available through the Eventbrite link or at the Library.
