Letters From The Front - evening performance

The Old Library, Mansfield, Mansfield

Date
Time
Venue The Old Library, Mansfield

When Arthur discovered a locked wooden chest filled with letters, in the attic of his late mother’s house, an unlikely tale of young love was uncovered…

Edith and Geoffrey spent only four incomplete days together before Geoffrey goes to the Front to work for the Royal Engineer Tunnellers below the Ypres Salient during the First World War. Their relationship blossoms through written correspondence. Despite their circumstances, Edith and Geoff’s letters are full of light and life.

It is impossible not to be moved by this real-life story of romance.

Post-show discussion with Gloria Lowe, Writer and Director.
