A practical, interactive FREE professional development workshop for primary school teachers led by Owen Craven-Griffiths AKA Berkavitch

This poetry CPD 

  • will explore a range of activities and discussions focused on demystifying poetry and unlocking the joy of poetic writing. 
  • be a  practical session with tips, activities and resources to take back to the classroom, giving teachers inspiration and equipping them with skills to make every school day a poetry day. 

The workshop  include a short focus group discussion with researcher and Artsmark Consultant, Amanda McLaren, asking a few questions about how you engage with the library and what else could be offered to support cultural education in your school.

About the facilitator

The session will be delivered by Owen Craven-Griffiths otherwise known as Berkavitch, who is one of the most respected voices in the UK spoken-word scene. Former UK Slam Poetry Champion, internationally acclaimed Storyteller, accomplished Breakdancer, Digital Artist and Animator.

This CPD is best suited to primary teachers and TAs.

Free.  Booking essential.

Venue: Mansfield  Central Library.  There will  be a chance to meet the library team to find out more about how they can support your creative library both in school and in the library.
