Pitching for Investment – tips, tricks and what to avoid.

Working with the British Library and Business & IP Centre Nottinghamshire, Smorgasbord is excited to be able to offer you a series of webinars as part of the Fit For Business Programme.

You need funding, you have the potential investors meeting lined up, and all you have to do is to prepare that pitch deck to wow them and get them to invest – easy, isn’t it? As we all know, it is far from easy and can be a nerve-wracking experience, particularly if you have not prepared the ‘perfect’ pitch deck.

If you’re raising money for your business (through grants, loans or equity investors) having an impressive pitch deck is a key component in your fundraising toolkit. A great pitch deck gets potential investors excited about your idea and engages them in a conversation about your business, hopefully leading to an investment.

In this webinar we will cover:

  • What is the real purpose of the pitch deck?
  • What must be included and what must be avoided?
  • What are investors really looking for?
  • How many pitch decks do you need?
  • What else do you need to provide them with?
  • Are you pitching to the right investor?
