We've got fun events and activities for all the family in the warm welcome of your local library this February half-term! Enjoy a variety of craft sessions and author visits, and join some of our libraries in celebrating Lunar New Year.

Unless otherwise stated, events are suitable for all under 11sfree of charge with no booking required. Find out what's on at your local library below!

Bingham Chinese New Year crafts All half-term from Saturday 10 February, while stocks last Have a go at our Chinese New Year and fantasy-themed activities. Create a fantasy door postcard and get your creative juices flowing, or make a dragon head to take away with you.
Calverton Chinese Year of the Dragon Throughout February, during normal opening times Join us for a selection of crafts based on the Year of the Dragon, plus Valentine's Day card-making!
Clipstone Make your own Spring daffodil Monday 12 February, and Wednesday 14 February, 2pm - 4:45pm Join us for a Spring daffodil paper craft!
Edwinstowe Chinese Zodiac Animals Tuesday 13 February & Friday 16 February, 2pm - 4pm, and Thursday 15 February & Saturday 17 February, 10am - 12pm Come along and have a look at our Chinese
Zodiac chart and find out which 'animal' you are.
Then make one of our really cool crafts relating to your animal or have a go
at writing the name of your animal in Chinese.
Dog's Trust Tuesday 13 February, 11am - 12pm Find out how to look after dogs and stay safe around them, with fun activities and games. No real dogs present, suitable for 7-11 year olds, booking required.
Forest Town Chinese Dragon Puppets Saturday 13 January, 10:30am - 11:30am Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a colourful dragon puppet
Lego Club Saturday 10 February & Saturday 9 March, 10:30am - 11:30am Make new friends and enjoy building your own designs... what will you create?
Huthwaite Make your own dragon Friday 16 February, 3:30pm - 4:30pm Happy Lunar new year! Celebrate with us as we make a 'roarsome' new friend.
Keyworth Games Club Monday 12 February, 2pm - 4pm Challenge your friends and family to a selection of games and puzzles.
Junior Lego Masters Tuesday 13 February, 10:30am - 12pm Competition for teams of 2-4 children aged 4-12 years. Theme given on the day, Lego provided. Booking essential.
Storytime and craft Thursday 15 February, 10:30am - 11am Join us for our under 5s story and crafting session, older siblings welcome.
Kirkby in Ashfield Hairy Herbies Monday 12 February and Wednesday 14 February, 11:30am - 1:30pm Create a pot with character! Plant herb seeds then take it home to watch it's 'do develop.

Toy Story 4 Craft Wednesday 14 February, 11am - 1pm Drop in and take part in this Toy Story themed activity.
Family Film Screening: Toy Story 4 Wednesday 14 February, 1:30pm Our film screenings are very relaxed, are particularly suitable for people living with dementia, their family and friends but anyone is welcome!! Tickets are £1 and include refreshments in the interval. Book your seats online or at the helpdesk.
Mansfield Woodhouse Animal Puppets Monday 12 February, 10:30am - 12:30pm Learn how to make a fun animal puppet to take home.
Butterfly Love Tuesday 13 February, 10am - 4pm Make a beautiful butterfly to gift, or keep for yourself!
Gift for your loved one Thursday 7 March, 3pm - 5pm Call in after school and make a special gift for someone special.
