Our annual Brilliant Book Award
presentation was held on Tuesday 2 December at Mansfield Library with this
year’s recipient, Kim Slater being presented the award in front of
an audience of nearly 200 students from participating secondary schools.
Kim Slater, who has now won the Award twice with, ‘Smart’ 2016 and ‘Seven Letter Word’ 2018, gave an inspiring talk to the audience about never giving up and to keep working towards their dreams and aspirations.
Brilliant Book Award 2019 Shortlist
The Brilliant Book Award 2019 Shortlist was also announced and the books are now available to borrow from the ELS.
