Explore hobbies and new interests, improve your health and wellbeing, or develop your skills for employment with our spring programme of FREE* and low cost courses starting throughout March!
Anyone in receipt of eligible benefits will be able to book courses for free, and we’ve reduced the cost of our courses for everyone else by 50% making our courses even more accessible and affordable.
Our community and family learning courses are for everyone aged 19+ and almost all our spring term courses are online. The same expert tutors, the same friendly group learning experience, but online via Zoom.
You can even spend time with the family and have fun learning something new together with our range of family learning courses.
We also have some wonderful courses and volunteering opportunities offered as part of our involvement with Miner2Major: The Real Sherwood Forest, and thanks to National Lottery Funding, they’re all FREE too, regardless of income or financial situation.
We know Covid-19 has had an impact on secure employment in our local communities and we’re here to help. As well as employability, functional skills and accredited courses we have dedicated funding through the Way2Work initiative, to support residents in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Derby an Derbyshire into training and employment.
Our expert team of Information, Advice and Guidance Advisors are here to help you every step of the way.
If you’re aged 16-24, and you’re not sure what your next steps are, our programmes for 16-24 year olds could be just what you’re looking for.
You’ll earn up to £20 a week and get help with travel expenses, and a personalised programme with individual support.
Our programmes include Employability Skills, Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English. Plus a range of City & Guilds or AIM Awards qualifications in Hospitality, IT, Bricklaying and Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating, and Health and Social Care.
