Inspire has opened its (virtual) doors to residents across Nottinghamshire and beyond looking to change or progress their career through a range of accredited and industry recognised qualifications. Inspire learner Michaela recently completed a Level 1 Mental Health Awareness course, and has since secured a role as a Mental Health First Aider in a school.
“It’s been an amazing
experience. I was able to fit the hours and workload around my children, and I
would recommend it to anybody. It’s an accredited course and it’s helped me with
my career progression. I had help every step of the way with lots of guidance
“We know Covid-19 has had an impact on secure employment in our communities and we’re here to help people into training and employment through a very bespoke and personalised service.”
“We’ll link people with a mentor who will provide all the support needed, helping people to recognise their skills and build their confidence. This can include things like writing or updating a CV, job applications, volunteering or work experience. We can also offer people recognised qualifications in Maths, English and IT, and professional accredited courses at levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in subjects such as Health and Social Care, Mental Health Awareness, Customer Service Skills, Counselling, Management and Education and Training.”
“I’d like to encourage anyone in a redundancy situation, or anyone who is re-evaluating their career to get in touch because there’s a lot we can help with as well as progression opportunities for further studies if that’s what people want.”
Inspire Learning offers hundreds of online courses allowing people to learn something new or brush up their skills in the comfort of their own home, and also distance learning opportunities which offer a more flexible approach, allowing people to learn at a time and pace that suits them.
People who need help and support to get into training or employment can get in touch by calling 01623 677 200 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
