Career boosting courses

Inspire has opened its (virtual) doors to residents across Nottinghamshire and beyond looking to change or progress their career through a range of accredited and industry recognised qualifications. Inspire learner Michaela recently completed a Level 1 Mental Health Awareness course, and has since secured a role as a Mental Health First Aider in a school.

“It’s been an amazing
experience. I was able to fit the hours and workload around my children, and I
would recommend it to anybody. It’s an accredited course and it’s helped me with
my career progression. I had help every step of the way with lots of guidance
and support.”

Michaela, Learner, Mental Health Awareness

“We know Covid-19 has had an impact on secure employment in our communities and we’re here to help people into training and employment through a very bespoke and personalised service.”

“We’ll link people with a mentor who will provide all the support needed, helping people to recognise their skills and build their confidence. This can include things like writing or updating a CV, job applications, volunteering or work experience.  We can also offer people recognised qualifications in Maths, English and IT, and professional accredited courses at levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in subjects such as Health and Social Care, Mental Health Awareness, Customer Service Skills, Counselling, Management and Education and Training.”

“I’d like to encourage anyone in a redundancy situation, or anyone who is re-evaluating their career to get in touch because there’s a lot we can help with as well as progression opportunities for further studies if that’s what people want.”

Ian Bond, Director of Learning, Inspire Culture, Learning and Libraries.
