Updates to Our Services from 19 July 2021

Published 19th July 2021

Nottinghamshire Libraries have now been open since 12 April and we have loved welcoming you back! As a result of the changes in government guidance from 19 July, we are updating the way we operate our services.

Your safety is our priority so we will continue to have measures in place to protect you in our buildings, including ensuring good ventilation and maintaining regular cleaning. There are a few ways you can help us keep you and our staff safe:

  • Choose to wear a face covering
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry
  • Refrain from visiting if you have symptoms of Coronavirus
  • Respect others’ space

We’re pleased to continue our Click & Collect service in static libraries. However, please note that all mobile libraries will be returning to regular browsing and Tuxford Library will be moving to a mobile-only service from 26 July.

As restrictions ease, we are pleased to be moving towards a fuller pattern of opening times and service delivery, with many libraries having now extended their hours Please checking opening times before visiting us as well as follow us on social media (@NottsLibraries on Facebook and Twitter) for the latest updates, including any local service disruption. If you’re visiting us to access PCs, we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Plus, we will be reinstating some of your favourite events and activities over the coming weeks, including some Rattle Rhyme and Roll sessions! Check with your local library for details.

Nottinghamshire Archives will be returning to a full service from Tuesday 20 July. It will no longer be necessary to book an appointment before visiting. Visit their webpage for full details and opening times.

Our service information page at inspireculture.org.uk/servicedisruption will be updated regularly with the latest information. Inspire Online will also continue to enable you to enjoy culture, learning and libraries from home.

For any queries, Ask Inspire can be contacted on 01623 677 200 or ask@inspireculture.org.uk. Nottinghamshire Archives can be contacted by emailing archives@inspireculture.org.uk

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
