We’re excited to welcome you back with our autumn 2021 programme offering adult learning in many of our safe, and welcoming libraries, and learning centres in your local community.
You can also access courses online, from the comfort of your own home – the same friendly, experienced tutors, but online via zoom.
Explore hobbies and new interests, improve your health and wellbeing, or develop your skills for employment. You can even get FREE careers advice and help with benefits claims.
We’re enrolling now!
Our community and family learning courses are for everyone aged 19+.
You’ll also find courses to boost your career and employability such as part or fully funded level 1 and 2 qualifications in mental health awareness, counselling, volunteering, health and social care, preparing to work in schools and understanding autism. The perfect addition to your cv!
Get creative using textile crafts such as macramé or needle felting, and introduce yourself to the art of colour, glass painting, ink drawing or acrylic painting. Create fireside stories, poetry or write a radioplay.
There’s never been a better time to join us! Courses are low cost or free* and offered both in person and online! We're also holding several open days between 31 August and 8 September where you can try out some of our courses and enrol on the day!
You can even spend quality time with the family and have fun learning something new together with our fun and free family learning courses. Designed for parents and carers, these courses provide you with enjoyable strategies to understand, support and help the development of your children’s learning. From Makaton and scratch coding to music, we’re sure you’ll find a course the whole family will enjoy.
We know Covid-19 has had an impact on secure employment in our local communities and we’re here to help. As well as employability, functional skills and accredited courses we have dedicated funding through the Way2Work initiative, to support residents in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Derby and Derbyshire into training and employment.
If you’re aged 16 or over, unemployed or looking for a career change, you may be eligible for free personalised support with no impact on benefits.
Our team of expert advisors can help you with job searches, benefits claims, CVs, job applications, interview skills, volunteering, work placement opportunities, and more!
If you’re aged 16-24, and you’re not sure what your next steps are, our programmes for 16-24 year olds could be just what you’re looking for.
You’ll earn up to £20 a week and get help with travel expenses, and a personalised programme with individual support.
Our programmes include Employability Skills, Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English, and a range of City & Guilds or AIM Awards qualifications in Hospitality, IT, Bricklaying and Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating, and Health and Social Care.
