We've got fun events and activities for all the family in the warm welcome of your local library this October Half-term! Enjoy our relaxed and accessible family theatre performances, fantastic craft activities and more.

Arnold Make Your Own Autumn Windsock Thursday 2 November, 2pm - 2.45pm Come along and make you very own autumn inspired windsock. You can hang it outside and watch it move with the wind! No booking required and free of charge.
Burton Joyce Halloween Monster Windsocks Saturday 28 October, 10:30am - 12:30pm Get Halloween ready with these cool monster windsocks! Drop in session.
Clipstone Create Your Own Halloween Lollipop Puppet Monday 23 October, 2pm - 4pm Drop-in to this free session for parents and children under 5, and make your own lollipop puppet for Halloween! No booking required.
Marvellous Museums Wednesday 25 October, 10.30am - 12.30pm The community curator from Newark and Sherwood Museums will be at Clipstone Library! Come and discover some of the amazing objects from their collection. You can also create your own masterpiece drawing, make a bead necklace or bracelet, have a go at coin rubbing or even make a museum label for your favourite object. Plus, decorate a box to take your creations home in!
Create Your Own Halloween Mask Monday 30 October, 2pm - 4pm Drop-in to this free session for parents and children under 5, and make your own scary mask for Halloween! No booking required.
Collingham Make a Halloween Pennant Flag Thursday 26 October, 9:30am - 12pm Drop in to make and decorate a Halloween pennant flag.
Room on the Broom Storytime and Craft Friday 27 October, 10am - 12pm Join us at the library for a Room On The Broom Storytime at 10am, followed by decorating your very own Room On The Broom wand! The story will be read at 10am, and then the wand decorating will run as a drop in activity until 12pm.
Edwinstowe Marvellous Museums Tuesday 24 October, 10.30am - 12.30pm Come along and discover some weird and wonderful objects from Newark and Sherwood museums.
While you are here why not have a go at making a bead necklace, do some coin rubbing and lots more!
Take your creations home to show your family and friends. Ages 5-11, free, no booking required.
Creepy Crafts Friday 27 October, 10.30am - 3pm Halloween Half Term at Edwinstowe Library and Learning Centre. Drop in and make some Creepy Crafts!

Halloween Fun with Dogs Trust Tuesday 31 October, 11am - 12pm Halloween fun for kids with Dog's Trust!
Join Education & Community Officer, Alison, for a FREE, fun family workshop to learn all about safe behaviour around dogs and being responsible around our four-pawed friends! Children aged 7-11 and their grown up welcome!
Places must be booked in advance. Please book with library staff.
Gedling Pumpkin and Spider Hats Tuesday 24 October, 10am - 12pm The Gedling Play Forum will be coming in to hold another fabulous craft event at the library, and this time they're getting ready for Halloween. They'll be making pumpkin hats and spider hats with the children in this free, drop in craft session.
Lego and Duplo Club Thursday 26 October, 1pm - 4.30pm Our popular Lego & Duplo club will be back this half term with Lego and Duplo out for children of all ages to come and enjoy. Parental supervision is required but this is a free, drop in activity so come down and see what you can create!
Huthwaite Paper Pumpkins Friday 27 October, 3:30pm - 4:30pm Come along and make the perfect Halloween decoration!
Forest Town Spooky Spin Pictures Tuesday 31 October, 10:30am - 11:30am Join us for a spooky spin with our paint wheel and create your own fang-tastic picture! Booking required, speak to a member of staff or call 01623 677200 to book.
Eastwood Dog's Trust Safety Workshop Tuesday 26 October, 11am - 12pm A Family Workshop for children 7 - 11 years with the Dog's Trust about safe behaviours around dogs and how to be responsible for your four legged friends. No real dogs will be attending this event.
Keyworth Half-Term at Keyworth Library Tuesday 24 October, during normal opening hours Make a board game and dice! All day drop in, just turn up.
Spooky Storytime and Crafts Thursday 26 October, 10:30am - 11am Join us for this spook-tacular session, aimed at under 5s but all ages welcome.
Happy Halloween Tuesday 31 October, 10:30am - 4pm Let your creative juices ooze with our spooky character craft. The only limit is your braaaaaaiiins!

Children's crafting with Archie the Reading Dog Friday 3 November, 10am - 11am Our regular craft session has a visitor! Archie the Reading Dog will be accompanying Caroline for crafting fun.
Ladybrook Egg-citing Halloween Celebrations Thursday 26 October, 11am - 12:30pm Make a spooky spider or beastly bat using old egg cartons!
Diwali Celebrations Thursday 2 November, 11am - 12:30pm Join the Diwali celebrations by making your own diya decoration.
Mansfield Central Spooky Crafts Thursday 26 October, 11am - 12.30pm A variety of spooky children's crafts including mummy masks, witches cats and Frankenstein. Free, no booking required.

Mansfield Woodhouse Giant Game Fun Saturday 21 October - Saturday 4 November, during normal opening hours Let's play! Have fun with our giant games set.
Book Bingo Saturday 21 October - Saturday 4 November, during normal opening hours Eye's down for our Book Bingo! Complete the activity on your score card and enter our prize draw. Suitable for all children.
Archaeological Dig Tuesday 24 October, 1pm - 3pm Experience an arachaeological dig, unearth bones and match them against a skeleton! Free, no booking required. Suitable for children aged 5-11.

Pumpkins and Gaming Tuesday 31 October, 10am - 4pm Create your own noughts and crosses game, and decorate a spook-tacular 3D pumpkin.

Ollerton Halloween Half-Term Monday 23 October - Monday 6 November, during normal opening hours Come and have a go at a range of spooky crafts, changing throughout the half-term break! Plus, decorate a pumpkin for us to add to our pumpkin patch.

Skegby and Stanton Hill Spooktacular Mask-making Friday 27 October, 2pm - 3pm Head to your local Skegby Library and make a Halloween mask... spider, witch or ghost, which will you be?
Stapleford DogsTrust Workshop Tuesday 24 October, 11am - 12pm Come along to our free and fun family workshop where you can learn all about safe behaviour as well as how to behave responsibly around our trusty canine companions. Families with children of ALL ages are welcome.

Dog-tastic Storytime! Thursday 26 October, 11.30am - 12pm Join us for a delightful storytime this half-term celebrating the wonderful world of dogs!

Our member of staff Alex will be reading two fun-filled doggy picture books which show us what we love best about dogs (even if they are a bit cheeky sometimes).

Recommended for adults and children aged 8 and under. NO BOOKING is required, just turn up, settle in and have fun.
Sutton in Ashfield Flappy Halloween! Monday 30 October, 11am - 12pm Join us for a fang-tastic craft making your own flapping bat! You'd be ghoul-ish to miss it!
Warsop Create your own bookmark Tuesday 24 October and Friday 27 October, 10am - 4:30pm Come and create your own bookmark with us! Can you create a monster? Or will your create a shark to help save your page? We can't wait to see!
West Bridgford Half-Term Crafts: Paper Ball Bats Thursday 26 October, 11am - 12pm Join us to enjoy making your own paper ball bat. Adult supervision required.
Bookstart Storytime Tuesday 31 October, 10am - 11am Join us for a fun and relaxed storytime, listen to the 5 shortlisted books and vote for your child's favourite! Places are free but first come first serve on the day.
Pompom Hedgehogs Wednesday 1 November, 2pm - 3pm Join us to enjoy making your own pompom hedgehog. Adult supervision required.
Woodthorpe When Summer Leaves Monday 23 October - Sunday 5 November, during normal opening hours Drop in during half term. Our autumn display needs broomsticks and witches hats - can you help? The leaves have fallen and pumpkins will appear... Halloween is nearly here!
