The hugely successful Fun Palace returns to Worksop Library for its 6th year, bringing a variety of free and fun activities! Come along and be part of the Fun Palace fun as you try out different arts, science, health and heritage activities aimed at anyone of any age.
We’ll be welcoming local community groups and organisations including:
- Mr Straw's House National Trust - Cardboard houses and paper dolls to colour and dress
- Clumber Park National Trust - Book-art hedgehogs and Fun with Fungi!
- The Harley Gallery - Mixed media craft activities
- Bassetlaw Museum - Make your own Roman coil pot from clay
- From the Heart Charity - Make your own forky! And pick up a free Halloween activity pack!
- Ignite- Dare you peer down the microscope? Explore a hidden and mysterious world!
- Worksop Town Academy - Fun football challenges
- BAME Engineers Society - Slime making and marshmallow and pasta structure building challenges, with prizes to be won!
- Oasis Community Centre - Nature cactus gardens activity and crafts
- Now Church at Langold - Wish tree and gloopy sensory play
- St John's Church Heritage Team - Stained glass craft and dressing up
- Worksop Priory & Gatehouse Community Trust - Make your own gatehouse!
- Dog's Trust - Make a snuffle mat or chew toy (10am - 1pm)
- Nottinghamshire County Council Flood Awareness - Augmented Reality Interactive Flood Simulation
- Veolia- A fun recycling game
- ABL Health - Smoothie bike (12.30pm - 3pm)
- NHS Talking Therapies and Nottinghamshire Health and Wellbeing Team - Skeleton craft

- Wonder at the Sherwood Up Close Exhibition showing the microscopic creatures of the Forest

- Notts Fire and Rescue Service will be dropping by during the day - look out for the fire engine parked outside the library!
Fun Palaces supports local people to co-create their own cultural and community events, across the UK and worldwide, sharing and celebrating the genius in everyone.
