About this course

This course has been designed to cover how to use a variety of Microsoft Software Applications such as Word documents: to create letters, the use of templates, to input tables, and how to use many of the different options and tools within word. Using Excel, we will look at how to create a spreadsheet for budgeting and how to create simple functions. On the first week discussions will be held to possibly cover anything else you would like to learn during this course.

This course is not for absolute beginners and some knowledge of how to use computers is required.  For a beginner's guide to computers, please see the Computers Don't Bite course.   By the end of the course, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to use Microsoft software applications competently.

Learners should bring a sealed drink – water or juice, notebook and pen
