Volunteering (Level 2)

Our Level 2 Volunteering qualification runs online or at Worksop Library, Nottinghamshire, and will prepare you for a role within the voluntary sector or voluntary organisation.

The objectives of this qualification are to help you:

  • Understand the role of a volunteer within a voluntary organisation
  • Understand the activities of voluntary organisations
  • Identify the skills required to be a successful volunteer
  • Understand the regulatory frameworks that may apply to being a volunteer.

What will we cover?

You will complete a unit on volunteering and voluntary organisations;  and a choice of either: working as a volunteer within a chosen organisation or finding out about volunteering and becoming a volunteer.

Who is the course for?

This qualification is for adults (19+) who would like to learn more about volunteering or to progress from Level 1 Award in Volunteering. It is for those already volunteering or those considering taking up a volunteering role.

How can I progress after completing the course?

Upon completion of the course you could:

  • Go into a volunteering role. 
  • Study a Level 1 or Level 2 Award/Certificate in Employability Skills
  • Study a Level 1 Developing Customer Service Skills 
  • Study a wide range of other vocational areas.

Course cost

The cost of this course is FREE/£60.00.

1)  Free - if you earn less than £20,319 or are on a means-tested benefit.

2) Payment help available - if you earn more than £20,319 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.

3) Co-funded - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
