Nottinghamshire’s Christmas Jumper Swap

Nottinghamshire residents can donate their pre-loved Christmas jumpers at one of four drop off points.

To reduce clothing waste this Christmas, Veolia and Nottinghamshire County Council have partnered up with Inspire to organise a Nottinghamshire Christmas Jumper Swap campaign across some of our libraries. Look out for our donation boxes at these venues!

  • Worksop Library
  • Beeston Library
  • Retford Library
  • Kimberley Library

All jumpers donated must be of good quality, wearable and clean.

Residents wishing to swap their pre-loved Christmas jumper for another can come along to either:

We will have the donated jumpers on clothes rails for people to choose from for free!

Any jumpers left over after the two events will be donated to local shelters, organisations and charities. Find out more about The Big Christmas Jumper Swap.

However, it’s not only Christmas when clothing is thrown away. In Nottinghamshire, over 70 tonnes of reusable clothes are thrown away each week. To reduce this, consider mending damaged clothes or rehoming textiles that are no longer used or worn. To see how else you can reduce textile waste visit the textile waste reduction webpage.
